ATP Tennis Cologne II Final: Alexander Zverev Sweeps Diego Schwartzman In The final To Win The Cologne II title

An ATP tennis 250 level tournament was played today in Cologne, Germany. The match between the German Alexander Zverev and the Argentine Diego Schwartzman consisted of long and physical baseline rallies. Despite the slow court conditions Zverev smacked a bunch of aces and clean winners off the ground leaving Schwartzman out of sorts. Schwartzman on the other hand rallied hard to force some long rallies and made impressions on Zverev’s rocket serves. This strategy only got him to win 3 games total going down in 2 sets 6-2, 6-1. Zverev put on a wonderful display of power baseline tennis blasting winners all over the court off the forehand and backhand side. It was very clear in this match Zverev was playing his A-game and he overall outplayed Schwartzman from all areas of the court. This win in Cologne would be his 2nd consecutive tournament this year after winning the Cologne week I one tournament last week. These 2 consecutive titles at home will be a sweet victory for the German star. These last 2 tournament performances are telling tail signs Zverev will be a force to be reckoned with this indoor hard court season.
